September the 30th, we professional interpreters and translators, celebrate a Holiday.
On May 24, 2017, the United Nations General Assembly passed a resolution 71/288, declaring September 30th the International Translation Day, recognizing the role of professional translation in connecting nations.
The day was selected in remembrance of St. Jerome, the Bible translator, who is considered the patron saint of translators.
The theme for International Translation day 2022 is “A World without Barriers” stated by the International Federation of Translators (FIT).
Russian Ukrainian Translation and Interpretation in Dallas is at Western Wall Kotel
To confirm it, I did interpreting for the family of Ukrainian refugees, doing the assignment from the Western Wall in Jerusalem. The U.S. receiving Church who welcomed this Ukrainian family at the Zoom conference confirmed – they were much blessed by it.
And the Church reported to me – the fact of interpretation from the Western Wall will be announced to the congregation on Sunday service, as it means a lot to the Church.
The interpretation from the Western Wall in Jerusalem for the family of Ukrainian refugees will remain in my heart forever!
